Valve Job : A valve job is performed when the engine valves are leaking causing low compression and weak power from the engine. Some valve jobs can be the result of a broken timing belt or timing chain. A valve job requires the cylinder head or heads to be removed from the engine. A machine shop will disassemble the cylinder head and re-machine or replace the intake and exhaust valves in the cylinder head. Valve guides must be examined and replaced if necessary. Valve springs are measured and replaced if necessary. Valve seals and gaskets are replaced and valve seats are machined. Call Guy’s Automotive for a quote on a valve job today.
