Cooling Fan : A vital part of most automotive engine cooling systems. The cooling fan(s) are designed to help cool the radiator by helping displace the heat molecules from the engine coolant. The cooling fan(s) are usually computer controlled using a radiator fan switch or a coolant temperature sensor to accurately monitor the engine temperature and help the computer determine when to turn on and off the cooling fan(s).
Cooling fan(s) are usually made with a 12 volt DC electric motor and a fan blade within a housing. Other cooling fan(s) may use a hydraulic system to propel a fan blade. Problems with cooling fan(s) may include overheating or a leaking hydraulic system if applicable.
