Coolant Leaks : The begining of a overheating problem. Coolant leaks are leaks of coolant from engine and cooling system parts. Typical leaks will show a colored liquid dripping or leaking from the engine compartment or on the engine itself. Other coolant leaks may appear as a steam comming out from under the hood. A sweet burning smell may accompany a coolant leak as well. When in doubt, a coolant leak should be diagnoised and repaired promptly. If you drive a vehicle with a coolant leak long enough, you can damage your cylinder head gasket, engine and or transmission.
