Control Arm : This is the arm that is connected to your wheel of your vehicle. Control arms are used on independent suspension systems to hold the wheel and allow it to move up and down independently. Some cars and trucks have a upper control arm as well as a lower control arm. Control arms use bushings to help pivot and cushon the up and down movements. When these bushings fail, you may notice pulling while driving, squeaking or rubbing sounds on bumps, or the weel may shift foward and backwards during braking and acceleration. It is very important to repair control arm(s) when there is a problem to avoid a possible accident.
